A mouth-blown glass carafe with wide base, narrowing at the neck and flaring towards the rim. The wide base allows maximum surface area for the aeration of wine. The carafe is mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create the classic wide-based shape. The rim is cut and polished to achieve a flat smooth edge.
